WHOEVER is hanging brassieres in the lifts of a Pasir Ris block must have a perverted sense of humour.
No one knows who the bras belong to or what the pervert is hoping to achieve with his mischief, but at least one resident is fighting back by mocking his efforts at 'decorating the lifts'.
For the past three weeks, residents at Block 752 Pasir Ris St 71 entering its two lifts have sometimes been greeted by the sight of bras hanging inside.
When The New Paper visited the block on Tuesday at about 3pm, there was no sight of bras.
But there was a note on the wall of each lift, with the anonymous author thanking the culprit for his 'kind efforts of decorating the lifts of this block'.
But he added that the residents were getting 'bored of the black and white bras already'.
He suggested the culprit get different ones instead.
The bras started appearing about three weeks ago, said a resident who wanted to be known only as Madam Lim.
The housewife, who lives on the ninth floor, said: 'When it first started, the bras were tied to the side railings. Lately, they were hung from the lift's ceilings.
'They appear once every two to three days. When you think it's over, the vandal strikes again and hangs a new bra in the lift.'
She saw bras in one of the lifts on Tuesday morning, but they were removed by noon, before The New Paper arrived.
